We have tried to sell some of our older dual furniture on Craigslist for large furniture for his display in December. Annoyed that the furniture was filling his garage, my husband asked me to medium-sized to price our old Queen bed and a wardrobe on the $ 50 so that room.
After a week on the Craigslist at $ 50, we were contacted by just 1 person concerned … who asked us to release price $ 25 without also seeing the bed.
When my husband found we had received an offer, was he angry I had declined. Confused, I went to the garage and evaluated the bed again. Was it really only worth $ 25?
Unwilling to admit defeat, I placed the set on Craigslist again with exactly the same description and pictures, but prices of $ 130.
2 hours and 11 offers later, bought a local college student set for $ 130.
Lesson learned: as important as not pricing yourself over market pricing itself according to the market.
Moreover, it felt really good to flash-130 USD cash to my husband.
